Lim Ping PhD

Dr. Lim Fui Ping is the Director of Student Affairs and a Senior Lecturer at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, National University of Singapore. Fui Ping holds the Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) and Master of Nursing degrees from the University of Sydney, Australia, and completed her PhD (Medicine) at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. Specialising in the field of skin and wound studies, her doctoral research focuses on diabetic wound healing, using mice and pigs as a wound model system to investigate the underlying mechanisms of cord lining mesenchymal stem cells and their consequences in skin and wound repair.

She utilises her clinical, academic, and research knowledge and experience to transform the delivery of wound prevention and treatment interventions through the translation of high-quality clinical research and innovation activities. Her ultimate goal is to develop effective therapeutic strategies for the treatment of chronic wounds. At NUS Nursing, Fui Ping leads the module on “Pathophysiology, Pharmacology and Nursing Practice.” In this module, she teaches about the nursing management of patients with cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, and integumentary conditions. She also leads and teaches in a module on “Clinical Health Assessment and Reasoning” for registered nurses.
