Dr. Lilian Abbo is an Associate Professor of Clinical Infectious Diseases at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and core faculty in Infectious Diseases for the Miami Transplant Institute. Dr. Abbo is the Chief for Infection prevention and Control and the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program for Jackson Healthcare System. Since 2014, she has served as the President of WIAM Women in Academic Medicine Advisory Board at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
She is Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Lilian graduated from the University of Central Venezuela. She then pursued an internship at Jacobi Medical Center in NY, an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Jackson Memorial Hospital/ University of Miami.
