Liisa-maria Voipio-pulkki MD, PhD

Since 2010, Liisa-Maria Voipio-Pulkki has served as the Director of Health Care (CMO) in the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. Previously she was employed as the Senior Medical Adviser of the Finnish Association of Local and Regional Authorities in 2004-2009 and Chief of emergency and acute cate of the Helsinki University Hospital District. She earned her MD degree in 1973 in the University of Helsinki and her PhD in 1986. She is a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology and has published over 100 original papers in cardiovascular medicine. Her current interests include health systems, health care and medical innovation policies, continuous professional development, and medical ethics.
