Liga serves as the co-chair for the Center for Health Priority and Progress (AimWell). It’s a long way from the suburbs of Philadelphia where she spent her youth running track and field, playing the violin and attending Latvian school on Saturdays. But Liga is never far from her passion to serve people.
She has worked in healthcare for 29 years as a nurse in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She joined PRMC Everett in May of 2016. Prior to that, Liga held a variety of leadership positions including the director of the organ transplant program at Swedish Hospital. She also helped establish the second liver transplant program in the WAMI region (Washington, Alaska, Montana, Idaho), and served as the senior director of Accountable Care Services and Care Transformation at Swedish Medical Group.
Currently, Liga is on the board of Therapeutic Health Services, an organization dedicated to fostering healing and recovery for people and families with chemical dependency and mental illness. She also volunteers at ROOTS, a shelter for young adults experiencing homelessness.
