Lieve Peremans PhD

Lieve Peremans is a professor of General Practice at the University of Antwerp. She is also responsible for teaching qualitative research at the Master of Nursing and Midwifery. She also works part-time in a fixed group practice in Antwerp Center. She conducts research in various socially-oriented research domains such as elderly and children, cares for the elderly, practices organization (a division of tasks, workforce). Her expertise lies in qualitative research. She gives courses about this at home and abroad. In addition, she coordinates the general practice/geriatrics module in the second master.

She is involved in education year 6 (internships) and in the ICHO (coordinator of master's theses for the University of Antwerp). Since 2010 she has been a national representative for Belgium in the European General Practitioners Research Network. She is vice-chair of the Recognition Committee for General Practitioners and has been a member of the Planning Committee for the health professions since 2015 as a voting member. Since 2018 she has also been a substitute member of the Order of Doctors in Antwerp.
