Liana Abascal MPH, PhD

Liana Abascal, PhD, MPH is a licensed psychologist specializing in behavioral health. She has been involved in both research and clinical work related to chronic disease prevention and management, especially related to eating disorders, diabetes, and obesity since 2000. Dr. Abascal received her PhD from the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program and her MPH from SDSU. She was Co-director of Adult Programs at the UCSD Eating Disorders Clinic for 4 years and has provided mental health services at the Rady Children’s Diabetes Clinic. She also maintains a private practice in San Diego.
