Dr. Holmes is a Professor at Harvard Medical School and the original director of the Human Teratogens course previously held at Harvard. He has spent over four decades researching causes of malformations in infants and determining the effects of exposures during pregnancy. His clinical interests include epidemiology of malformations, hereditary malformations, teratogens, causes of malformations, prenatal testing and diagnosis, and birth defects.
