Lew Charles Schon MD

Lew Schon, MD, a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, is Chief, Foot and Ankle Services at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD, Director of MedStar Union Memorial Hospital's Foot and Ankle Fellowship Program, and Assistant professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Schon is internationally recognized as a foot and ankle expert and innovative designer of new surgical techniques and prosthetic devices.

Dr. Schon's clinical and research interests include sports, dance medicine, Charcot neuropathy, nerve-related disorders and injuries, tendon transfers, and allograft reconstruction. In addition to his community-based clinical practice, he has treated numerous professional dancers and athletes and is the foot and ankle consultant to the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Nationals, and the sports teams of Georgetown University.
