Mr Lester F Wilson trained at University College Hospital,London, and qualified in 1982. His Postgraduate education was in London [including UCLH, National Hospital fo Nervous Diseases, and the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital, Stanmore, and Nottingham where he was a Spinal Fellow. His initial Consultant appointment was at the Whittington University Hospital in 1995, and he moved to the RNOH Stanmore as a Consultant Spine Surgeon in 2003. Mr Wilson deals with Complex Lumbar Spine Problems, and is an expert in treating Infection throughout the Spine, having set up the regional service for this at the RNOH Stanmore in 2013.
He is an Internationally recognised expert in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, and was a Board member of the International Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery between 2005-2015. He has lectured and taught spinal surgical techniques on most continents excluding Antarctica. His main areas of interest include complex lumbar fusion techniques, bone graft substitutes, spondylolysis in athletes, and revision surgery. Patients attending his Clinics are suffering from symptoms of Low Back Pain and/or Sciatica.
