Leonardo Trombelli DDS, PhD

Prof. Leonardo Trombelli is a full Professor and holder of the teaching of Periodontology of the Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis of the University of Ferrara. Ph.D. in Genetics. From 1995 to 2004, he was Assistant Professor at the Advanced Education Program in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at Loma Linda University, California. President of the School of Medicine (2014-2016) and Coordinator of the Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis of the University of Ferrara (2013-present). He is the Director of the Interdepartmental Research Center for the Study of Periodontal and Peri-implant Diseases of the University of Ferrara, and Director of the UOC of Dentistry of the University Hospital of Ferrara. President of the Italian Society of Osseointegrated Implantology (2007-09). An active member of the Italian Society of Periodontology, Active member of the Italian Society of Osseointegrated Implantology, and Active member of the International Association for Dental Research. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Clinical Periodontology, Journal of Dental Research (2018-2021), and of the Peer Review Panel of the Journal of Periodontology. He carries out a freelance activity limited to periodontology and oral surgery.
