Leonardo M. Fabbri is a Professor of Respiratory Medicine and Director of the Clinic of Respiratory Diseases, at the University of Modena, and Reggio Emilia. In 2010 he was also appointed Director of the Department of Oncology, Haematology, and Respiratory Diseases. He is also a professor at the University of Ferrara.
He graduated in Medicine in 1972 at the University of Padua ( 110/110 cum laude ), specializing in Occupational Medicine in 1975 at the University of Padua ( 70/70 cum laude ) and in Respiratory Diseases in 1978 to 'The University of Bologna ( 70/70 cum laude ).
He attended as Visiting Research Fellow the Section of Respiratory Disease of Tulane University in New Orleans ( 1980-1 ), and the Cardiovascular Research Institute ( CVRI, 1981-3 ) of the University of California at San Francisco.
