Sher has published about 600 scientific works including 84 original research reports and 16 edited books. He is on the Editorial Board of several scientific journals and a reviewer for many journals.

Dr. Sher has been the Principal Investigator of several research studies. His research work has been mostly focused on the psychobiology of mood disorders and suicidal behavior.
