Lenel James MBA

Lenel James has more than 35 years of experience in management, systems consulting, and standards development – and more than 25 years of focused experience in the healthcare industry & five years of engagement in health equity and social determinants of health. James is a Business Lead for Health Information Exchange & Innovation at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) on the Health IT team. He has been with BCBSA for more than 17 years and has been the HL7 voting representative for 17 years. He is a director on the HL7 Board, past co-chair of the HL7 EHR Workgroup, past co-chair of HL7 Payer User Group, and co-author of several HL7 standards. James has also received industry recognition.
