Leeann M. Blaskowsky, NNP-BC, specializes in the care and management of premature and ill neonates, attendance at high-risk deliveries and assessing well newborns. She currently practices in four facilities in Colorado Springs, CO as a pediatric hospitalist/instructor with CU School of Medicine and provides locums coverage in a level III NICU in Baltimore, Maryland.
With a nursing career spanning four decades and a diverse background to include ICU/CCU, emergency department, SANE, electrophysiology, clinical faculty for undergraduate pediatric nursing and bedside nursing and advanced practice in neonatal ICU, her positions have taken her across the country including advanced practice in the level IV NICU at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland and Children’s Health in Dallas, Texas.
Ms Blaskowsky regularly addresses marijuana use in pregnancy and its effects on the developing neonatal brain. She received an AAS from Atlantic Community College, a BSN and MSN/NNP from Regis University and is currently pursuing a DNP at the University of St. Augustine. She is a member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses/Practitioners, the Front Range Neonatal Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau, nursing’s honour society.
