Leah M. Apatan MSN, RN

Dr. Apatan is the Nurse Manager for a Medical-Surgical/Oncology Unit at Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center. She has been a nurse for 13 years with a background in Emergency Nursing for seven years.

Apatan served as the Clinical Lead for Kaiser Permanente San Diego’s Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare Preventing Falls Project from 2011 to 2013. Kaiser Permanente San Diego was one of seven hospitals nationwide participating in the project. She recently conducted a breakout session “Eliminating Falls Across the Region is Possible” at the National Quality Conference 2015.

Apatan has a Masters of Science in Nursing (Specialization in Healthcare Education)from the University of Phoenix.
