Dr. Leah Cobb Snodgrass is a native of Middlesboro, Kentucky. After obtaining an associate’s degree at what was then Southeast Community College, she matriculated on scholarship at the University of Kentucky and later the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She trained at Emory University in Atlanta where she chose to subspecialize in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She spent over five years working as a medical director for Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) in Southeastern Kentucky before joining LMU-DCOM as chair of Behavioral Health in 2012. She the only locally born and raised psychiatrist in the region and one of the only board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists in Southeastern Kentucky and this part of Northeast Tennessee. Dr. Snodgrass is married with twin daughters who attend Cumberland Gap High School.
