Laurent Salphati PhD, PharmD

Dr. Laurent Salphati is currently a Senior Scientist in the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics department at Genentech, Inc. He heads the Drug Transporter group and has been supporting and leading immunology and oncology project teams from preclinical discovery to clinical development. He received his Pharm.D. from the University of Paris XI, France, and conducted his Ph.D research, investigating the complementary roles of Pglycoprotein and CYP3A in drug absorption and disposition, at the University of California, San Francisco under the guidance of Dr. Leslie Z. Benet. His research interests include the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs, and the role of drug transporters in drug absorption and disposition.
