Laurence Leenhardt MD, PhD

Laurence Leenhardt, MD, Ph.D., is a Professor of Endocrinology and teaches at Sorbonne University, Paris, France. She chairs the Thyroid and Endocrine Tumors Unit at Pitié Salpétrière Hospital. She manages patients with thyroid disease and thyroid cancer (imaging, FNA, and I131 therapy). She is an investigator in protocols with ITK for refractory thyroid cancer. She develops thermoablation of thyroid nodules. She contributes to setting up ETA and national guidelines on thyroid nodules, cancer, and ultrasonography.

She is a member of the European Thyroid Association (ETA Executive Committee from 2011 to 2014), of the French Endocrine Society, and of the Endocrine Society. She has written for the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, the Thyroid, and the European Journal of Endocrinology. She is a reviewer of various articles in the Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism, the European Journal of Endocrinology, the European Journal of Cancer, the European Journal of Radiology, Endocrine Connections, Thyroid, European Thyroid Journal.
