Laurence Brugieres

Laurence Brugieres, is a pediatric oncologist from Gustave Roussy Cancer Campus in Vilejuif, France. She created the first unit for Adolescent and Young Adults in France in 2002 and was the first president the French Go AJA Group (French Group for Adolescents and Young Adults Oncology).

She is a member of the French Society of pediatric Oncology (SFCE) and the International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP). She was member of the ENCCA working group for TYA with cancer.

She was co-chairman of the European Intergroup for Childhood Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (EICNHL), member of Siopel group (International strategy group for pediatric liver tumours), and the French bone sarcoma, liver cancer, lymphoma and oncogenetics groups.

She has been acting as principal investigator in several clinical trials. She has research interests in TYA oncology, pediatric oncogenetics, osteosarcoma, pediatric liver tumours, anaplastic large cell lymphomas and lymphomas in TYA.
