Lauren M. Schwartz is an infectious disease epidemiologist and has worked at Gorman Consulting since 2017. She has dedicated her training and professional experience to problem-solving for complex vaccine issues, from development to program delivery. This includes a six-month secondment to the WHO polio program in Islamabad, Pakistan. Prior to joining Gorman Consulting, Lauren designed and analyzed results from field studies to evaluate the impact of rotavirus vaccine introduction in Bangladesh, Kenya, Mali, and the Gambia. Lauren has also supported a number of vaccine-related projects at PATH and the WHO, including the COVID-19 response, and was previously an epidemiologist for the NIH. Lauren received a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Washington and an MSPH in International Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Lauren spends her free time exploring the Northwest with her dog.
