Lauren M. Allister MD

Dr Lauren M. Allister is an attending physician at Massachusetts General Hospital Emergency Department. She has graduated from SUNY-Downstate College of Medicine. She is specialized in pediatrics and Emergency Medicine. Her research interests are in Pediatric emergency medicine. She has done her residency in pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medical Center-New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Allister completed a fellowship in emergency medicine at Boston Childrens Hospital.

Dr. Allister spends her non-clinical time devoted to education for the medical students and residents. She is the course director for the MGH advanced elective in pediatric emergency medicine through Harvard Medical School. She is the rotation director of emergency medicine for the pediatrics residency program at MGH. Dr.Allister teaches extensively in both pediatrics and emergency medicine residency programs and sits on multiple education and curriculum oversight committees. In her first year as an attending physician at MGH Dr. Allister received the outstanding teaching award from the MGH pediatric residency program.
