Lauren E. Elson MD

Lauren Elson, MD is board certified in sports medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation. She attended Tufts University School of Medicine and did her residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital Columbia/Cornell. She then completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Stanford University.

As a former professional dancer, she has a passion for taking care of dancers and performing artists. She is on the Dance USA Taskforce on Dance Health and is a member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science and the Performing Arts Medical Association. She has lectured internationally on dance health and injury prevention in addition to giving local talks on pointe readiness and health maintenance in the dance.
