Dr. Laurel Mellin is the Founder of Emotional Brain Training (EBT) and a New York Times Bestselling Author. As a faculty member at UCSF for 40 years, most recently as an Associate Professor of Family and Community Medicine and Pediatrics, at the University of California, San Francisco, she developed a new paradigm in health care of rewiring stress overload as a new, neuroscience-based psychotherapy.
Dr. Laurel has a Ph.D. in health psychology. Her organization certifies health professionals in EBT as part of a new movement to stress protect our population. EBT can be used as a "bolt-on" to the current paradigm, adding the concepts and tools for stress overload to traditional mental and physical health services or as a primary service for neuroscience-based psychotherapy for acquired secure attachment and raising the brain's set point for lasting improvements in health.
