Laura Wielders PhD

Dr. Laura H. P. Wielders, PhD, Since 2021 has been working as an ophthalmologist at the eye care clinic Zuyderland-Eyescan. She followed her training as an ophthalmologist at the University Clinic for Ophthalmology Maastricht UMC+. Before and during her education, she conducted scientific research into the occurrence of retinal problems (called macular edema) after cataract surgery.

As an ophthalmologist, she deals with chronic and acute eye disease in patients of all ages on a daily basis.
