Laura Parham is currently an Associate Scientific Director in Genomic Medicine at PAREXEL International. She is a scientific leader and qualified researcher with over ten years of experience in design, analysis, and interpretation of experiments conducted to understand genetics of disease and drug safety and efficacy.
Laura led the statistical genetics effort on multiple large-scale projects that have discovered, confirmed and prospectively validated a biomarker for lapatinib-induced liver injury, and helped navigate subsequent regulatory and drug label submissions. Prior to joining PAREXEL in 2015, Laura worked in the pharmaceutical industry after completing a multidisciplinary education with a focus in Statistics at NC State University and Genetic Epidemiology at Washington University of St. Louis School of Medicine
