Dr. Laura M. Kulik is a leading transplant hepatologist and Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, with additional appointments in Radiology and Surgery (Organ Transplantation). She is a key member of the multidisciplinary liver tumor and transplant teams at Northwestern Medicine, where she provides specialized care for patients with complex liver diseases.

Dr. Kulik is widely recognized for her expertise in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), with a major clinical and research focus on the diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer. Her work emphasizes loco-regional therapies—such as transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) and radioembolization—as well as strategies to bridge patients to liver transplantation. She actively participates in clinical trials and collaborates across medical, radiologic, and surgical disciplines to advance treatment approaches for liver tumors.

In addition to her clinical and research roles, Dr. Kulik contributes to national and international hepatology efforts, including participation in expert panels and guideline development through the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD). She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters focused on liver disease and cancer management.
