Laura E. Heyneman, MD, is Panel Co-Chair of CPI Chest Radiology. She is a diagnostic radiologist and associate clinical professor of radiology for the University of North Carolina School of Medicine where she completed her medical degree and internship in pediatrics.Heyneman completed her diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship in abdominal imaging at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. She completed her fellowship in thoracic imaging at Vancouver General Hospital in Vancouver, BC. An active member of the radiology community.
Heyneman is a member of several radiology societies, including the ACR, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Society of Thoracic Radiology, where she is chair of the education committee, the North American Society for Cardiac Imaging and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. She was also a member of Rad-Aid, a global network assisting developing countries to implement and optimize radiology and health imaging services.
