Laura Dominici MD, FACS

Dr. Laura Stewart Dominici is a surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, and Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center. She serves as section chief of breast surgery at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital and is an assistant professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Dominici received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She then completed a general surgery residency at Lahey Clinic Medical Center (now Lahey Hospital and Medical Center) and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is board certified in general surgery.

Dr. Dominici’s clinical interests include nipple-sparing mastectomy, breast conservation surgery, mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, neoadjuvant therapy, and sentinel lymph node biopsy. The author of over 25 peer-reviewed publications, she actively researches both systemic and local therapy treatments for breast cancer with a specific focus on nipple-sparing mastectomy techniques
