Laura A. V. Marlow PhD

Laura is a research psychologist in the behavioral science team within the Cancer Prevention group. She completed her Ph.D. on HPV vaccine acceptability in 2009 and went on to be awarded a Cancer Research UK Post-doctoral Fellowship to explore barriers and facilitators to screening and symptom presentation among ethnic minority women (2010-2014). Laura now works with Dr. Jo Waller using behavioral science to maximize the impact of cervical cancer control policies. Laura has a particular interest in ethnic inequalities and has also worked on understanding cancer fear, fatalism and stigma.
