Dr. Elopre completed her medical degree at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine. She then underwent Internal Medicine Residency and Infectious Diseases Fellowship training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. During this time, she also received her MSPH in Applied Epidemiology. Under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Mugavero, her research interests have focused on social determinants of health for STDs, including HIV. She is now an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of Diversity and Inclusion for Graduate Medical Education.
