Lars Eckardt, MD, PhD, head of the Department of
Electrophysiology, and professor of experimental
and clinical electrophysiology at University of Muenster,
Muenster, Germany, one of the largest electrophysiology
centres in Germany, is particularly interested in catheter
ablation of atrial fibrillation,1 ventricular tachycardias,2
and repolarisation-associated cardiac arrhythmias.3 He
