Lara is a Senior Clinical Pharmacist, having completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy at James Cook University. She is an experienced pharmacy clinician, having practiced in both community and hospital pharmacy settings. Lara has previously worked as a Food Technologist/Microbiologist and Quality Assurance Auditor having completed an Associate degree in Food Technology at the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Applied Science Microbiology/Biotechnology at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
She is also a certified SHPA clinCAT assessor and is currently undertaking postgraduate studies in clinical pharmacy honours through the University of Tasmania. In 2015, Lara implemented an automated tablet dispensing sachet packing machine, the first of its type to be implemented into Correctional Services Queensland and is currently undertaking a research project. Lara has a keen interest in the quality use of medicines and oncology. Lara currently divides her time between Offender Health and Cancer Care Services, and working for the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.
