Lara Carneiro MSc, PhD

Lara Carneiro has a PhD in Sport Sciences from the University of Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD, Portugal). She is an Assistant Professor at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) and is a member of the Research Center in Sports Sciences, Health Sciences, and Human Development (CIDESD). She is a fellow of the Portuguese National Funding Agency for Science, Research and Technology (SFRH/BD/84988/2012), she was awarded 1st prize from the National Olympic Committee and Millennium BCP Foundation (2014) in the field of Sports Psychology and Pedagogy, and an honorable mention as a Young Researcher by CIDESD (2016). Coach in the field of sports psychology and a consultant of prescription exercise programs on mental health.
