Laith H. Jamil MD

Laith H. Jamil, MD, FACG, is the Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at William Beaumont University Hospital. Dr. Jamil earned his medical degree at the College of Medicine, Baghdad University in Baghdad, Iraq. He performed an internal medicine residency where he also served as chief resident at the Hurley Medical Center at Michigan State University; a gastroenterology fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan; and hepatology, liver transplant, and advanced endoscopy fellowships at the Mayo Clinic. He has written articles on numerous subjects related to gastroenterology that have been published in peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Jamil's current academic appointment is Professor of Internal Medicine at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
