Laila Eugenia Woc-colburn MD, DTM&H, FACP, FIDSA

Dr. Laila Eugenia Woc-Colburn is an infectious disease specialist and faculty member at Emory University School of Medicine. She serves as an attending physician on the infectious diseases consultation services at Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown, and provides outpatient care through the Emory Healthcare Infectious Diseases Clinic.

Dr. Woc-Colburn has more than two decades of experience in internal medicine and infectious diseases. Her clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and management of complex infections, with particular interests in HIV/AIDS, tropical and travel-related diseases, and infections in immunocompromised patients.

She earned her medical degree from Universidad Francisco Marroquín and completed her residency in internal medicine at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. She went on to complete a fellowship in infectious diseases at Case Western Reserve University. She is board-certified in infectious disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Woc-Colburn is actively involved in academic medicine, contributing to research, medical education, and mentorship. Her scholarly work includes numerous peer-reviewed publications, and she is recognized for her commitment to training future physicians and advancing the field of infectious diseases. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Woc-Colburn is dedicated to providing accessible, patient-centered care to diverse populations.
