Dr Wang joined the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Changi General Hospital (CGH) in 2016. She previously trained and worked as a pathologist in St Vincent’s University Hospital Dublin, Ireland, with its specialist Centre for Colorectal Disease and Liver Transplant Unit. She was appointed as a Consultant Pathologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) in 2009, where she specialized in Gastrointestinal, Pancreaticobiliary and Liver Pathology.
She was the lead pathologist for the Oxfordshire Bowel Cancer Screening Programme and Oxford Neuroendocrine Tumour Centre (ENETS Centre of Excellence) and the core pathologist for specialist multidisciplinary team meetings in gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatic biliary cancers, IGG4, chronic inflammatory bowel disease and medical luminal and liver conditions.
Her research experience and interests are in gastrointestinal including pancreaticobiliary cancers, primary sclerosing cholangitis, fatty liver disease and inflammatory bowel disease. She currently serves as secretary in the Pathology Section Committee for the British Society of Gastroenterology.
