Kuni Ohtomo MD, PhD

Kuni Ohtomo is a Chair of Radiology at the University of Tokyo. His research interests are Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology, Abdominal Imaging. Founded in 1995 in Ohtawara City in Tochigi Prefecture, IUHW is the first comprehensive university of health and welfare in Japan. In 2017, after more than ten years of planning we opened our School of Medicine, which marked the start of a second era for IUHW. Furthermore, in 2018 we marked the opening of the Tokyo Akasaka Campus in Minato City in Tokyo, which we aim to become a hub for lifelong education and community exchanges, serving as the home to the School of Psychology and Healthcare Management at Akasaka and also the expanded IUHW Graduate School, which has moved from its former location on the Tokyo Aoyama Campus. At the time of its establishment IUHW had one school and five departments, and since then we have expanded to 10 schools, 24 faculty and departments, in addition to a graduate school, spread over six campuses.
