Kubilay Aydin MD

prof. Dr. Kubilay Aydın was born in 1969 in Trabzon. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1993, which he won by being among the first 100 students in the university exam. He won first place in the Medical Specialization Examination (TUS), which he entered in 1994, and completed his specialization training in the Department of Radiology at Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine in 1998. In 1999, at the University of Southern California St., He worked as a visiting lecturer in the Department of Neuroradiology at Vincent Medical Center. In 2000, he started to work as a neuroradiology specialist at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiology. He did academic studies in 2003 as an international fellowship at Harvard University, Massachusetts General Hospital, Department of Neuroradiology. 2005' He received the titles of associate professor and professor in 2011. Between 2011-2016, he served as the Head of the Neuroradiology Department of the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. He still works as a professor in the Department of Neuroradiology at Istanbul University, Istanbul Medical Faculty (Istanbul Medical Faculty), and as the chief physician of the Interventional Neuroradiology Unit at Vehbi Koç Foundation Koç University Hospital (Koç University Hospital).

prof. Dr. Kubilay Aydın received the Hacettepe University Senate Research Award in 2003, the Turkish Neurology Association Clinical Research Award in 2005, and the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) Outstanding Young Scientist Award in 2007, as a result of his international academic studies in the field of Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology. Istanbul University Prof. He won the Meliha Terzioğlu Award and the TÜBİTAK Health Sciences Incentive Award in 2009. Having published articles in many national and international peer-reviewed journals, Prof. Aydın is the editor of Neuroradiology in the Journal of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and is a referee/consultant in the fields of Neuroradiology and Neurosurgery for nearly 20 international scientific journals. The most important journal in the field of neuroradiology, the American Journal of Neuroradiology, Prof. Dr. Kubilay Aydın is among the best consultants/referees in the field of Interventional Neuroradiology.

prof. Dr. Kubilay Aydın has the European Board of Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology diploma and certificate (European Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology Diploma) and is a member of the European Society of Neuroradiology, European Society of Radiology, European Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, Turkish Society of Radiology, Turkish Society of Interventional Radiology.

Treatment of vascular diseases of the central nervous system such as brain aneurysms (bubbles) and arterio-venous malformation (AVM) with endovascular (closed surgery) methods, Treatment of carotid artery occlusions/stenoses, Treatment of cerebrovascular occlusions/stenoses, Prof. Dr. Kubilay Aydın's main academic and clinical interests.
