Krasimira Hristova MD, PhD, FESC

Krasimira Hristova is a consultant cardiologist and expert in echocardiography at National Cardiology Hospital and a consultant in cardiology at University Wonem Hospital "Nadejda". She has defended a doctorate on the application of new echocardiographic methods for assessing myocardial deformation in patients after acute myocardial infarction. Dr. Hristova has specialized in prestigious universities in Austria and Belgium. She has successfully defenses master's degree in the field of Advance Medical Imaging in Cardiology at the Catholic University in Leuven, Belgium.

She participates in the development and clinical application of the first three-dimensional software for myocardial deformation. She is an author of many scientific articles winner prize for a young investigator of the International Society of Hypertension in 2006, as well as a number of awards at national and international organizations. She was a secretary and currently Presindent of the working group on echocardiography in Bulgarian Society of Cardiology, member of the board of the European Association of Echocardiography, the board of the Scientific Committee of the American Society of Echocardiography.
