Konrad Maurer

Konrad Maurer is Born in 1943, after studying music in Stuttgart and Paris, studied medicine in Göttingen and London. After working as an assistant at the neurological university clinics in Göttingen and Mainz, he moved to the psychiatric university clinic in Mainz and was certified as a specialist in neurology and psychiatry in 1981 and, also in 1981, his habilitation in psychiatry. In 1983 he was appointed professor of psychiatry at the Psychiatric University Clinic in Würzburg. From 1993 until his emirate in 2009 he held the chair for psychiatry at the University of Frankfurt.
