Prof. Klemens Gutbrod is responsible for neuropsychological diagnostics and therapy in the outpatient sector of the Department of Cognitive and Restorative Neurology at the University Clinic of Neurology. After studying psychology at the Universities of Erlangen and Konstanz, he completed his academic and clinical training at the University of Konstanz and Bern as well as in the Neurological Hospital for Children and Adolescents in Gailingen (Germany). He specialized in cognitive disorders in aphasic, neuroanatomy of language (functional magnetic resonance imaging of the language, intraoperative voice and visual stimulation with neurosurgery), amnesia and executive interference.

He is involved in the development of a kompensativen Sakkadentrainings in patients with central visual field defects. His main research interests of basic research of the neuroanatomy of language, of amnesia and executive interference. He regularly lectures at the Psychological Institute of the University of Bern (General Psychology and Neuropsychology) on bases of clinical neuropsychology, neuropsychological assessment and neuropsychological therapy.
