Klaus Kuhlcke PhD

Klaus Kuhlcke holds the position of Managing Director at EUFETS GmbH in Idar-Oberstein, Germany. EUFETS, a subsidiary of the BioNTech AG in Mainz, Germany, provides contract manufacturing and analytical services for cell- and gene therapy. Dr. Kuhlcke has been with the company since its foundation in 1997. Previously he has held the position of “Qualified Person”, “Scientific Director” and “Vice President Operations”. Prior to joining the company Dr. Kuhlcke worked as a post doc at the Heinrich-Pette-Institute in Hamburg, Germany, where he focused on the use of retroviral vectors as tools for basic and applied science. He received his Ph.D. for Biology in 1995 from Hamburg University.
