Kjell Stenberg DMSc

Kjell Stenberg is a Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Acctena AB. Kjell is a Partner at Nodes Advisors and a member of the Corporate Finance Group. Kjell is involved in the firm’s corporate finance and capital-raising activities with a focus on Europe. Kjell draws upon his solid experience in biotech and capital raising to access venture capital and support successful divestments of mature assets.

Prior to joining Nodes Advisors, Kjell co-founded and served on the boards of successful biotech companies Galecto Biotech, Aptahem, and Cyxone – the latter of which he became the CEO. The three companies combined raised more than USD 100 million in the first five years. Kjell’s large pharma background spans bio-investing with Medwell Capital and managing projects in cancer, infectious diseases, neuroinflammatory disorders, and antiviral therapy at AstraZeneca. ‍

Transitioning from pharma to biotech, he co-founded Combio A/S in Denmark with Novo Ventures, Sunstone. Combio later merged with the listed company Arpida in Basel, Switzerland. This was followed by several responsibilities and managerial positions across biotech companies and life sciences venture capital funds, where he managed large projects and novel drug technology developments.
