Kishore B. Sandu MD

Dr. Sandu is the head of the Airway Unit of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery at the CHUV. This sector is recognized as a Center for Highly Specialized Medicine by the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Health Directors, CDS. 

Dr. Sandu has been an active member of the unit for over 10 years. He has published numerous articles in specialized international journals and has written several book chapters on impaired airways in children and adults. He is also an article reviewer for Laryngoscope and the International Journal of Pediatric Otolaryngology, and an editor on the advisory board of Yonsei Medical Journal, Korea. 

Dr. Sandu specializes in the treatment of complex airway obstruction and laryngotracheal stenosis. He is frequently invited to Europe, the USA, and Asia to give lectures on difficult airway stenoses. Originally from India, Dr. Sandu is an otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon. He is a member of the European Council of Otorhinolaryngology, the Swiss Society of Otorhinolaryngology, and the Swiss Working Group on Head and Neck Surgery.
