Dr. Tillisch recieved her training in internal medicine and gastroenterology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She completed a year of clinical and research fellowship at the Center for Neurovisceral Sciences and Women's Health under the mentorship of Dr. Lin Chang. Her clinical interests are functional bowel disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome and functional dyspepsia, as well as inflammatory disorders of the GI tract including microscopic colitis, celiac disease, mast cell disease, and eosinophilic gastroenteritis. Her research interests include the interactions between the digestive system and the autonomic nervous system, the effects of complementary and alternative medicine on functional gastrointestinal disorders, and pathophysiology of Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
