Kirk Hogan, MD, JD, is a professor of anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, with a research background in neuro-monitoring and genetics. His research interests center around the interplay of anesthesia, surgery and genomics on brain failure in the elderly, and on epigenetic interventions for nerve tissue regeneration after injury. Dr. Hogan graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin School or Law, and has practiced biotechnology, chemical, medical device and biomedical intellectual property law for 15 years with clients ranging from independent inventors to global conglomerates. He is a co-founder of SonoPlot, Inc., a manufacturer of ultrasonic micro-printers of use in electronics and life sciences
