Kinjal R. Jani MBBS, MD

Dr. Kinjal R Jani is a Gujarat-based Consultant Oncologist specializing in Radiation Oncology. He is currently attached to the HCG Cancer Centre, located in Sola, Ahmedabad, where he has been since August 2016. On completing his MBBS, he went on to obtain an MD in Radiotherapy from the Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute at BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad, where he topped the batch. Subsequent to his MD, Dr. Kinjal R Jani continued at the BJ Medical College as Senior Resident, Radiotherapy Department, up to March 2006, after which he was posted as a Junior Lecturer at the MP Shah Cancer Hospital in Ahmedabad. He then joined the Apollo Hospital in Gandhinagar as Consultant Radiation Oncologist for nearly seven years from July 2007 to February 2014. He then joined CIMS Cancer Centre as Director & Consultant of Radiation Oncology from March 2014 to July 2016.

Dr. Jani is very familiar with all the procedures related to Oncology and has independently treated many patients with various malignancies such as carcinomas of lung, breast, esophagus, rectum, prostate, cervix, head and neck cancers, lymphomas, soft tissue sarcomas, etc. He has considerable experience in dealing with various tumors such as germ cell, brain or bone tumors, etc., with either external radiotherapy and/or brachytherapy. He also has good exposure in the areas of IMRT, IGRT, intracavitary brachytherapy for gynecological malignancies, MUPIT, ILRT, besides others. His special interests lie in the areas of head and neck oncology, management of breast cancers and prostate cancers.
