Kimberly R. Smoak MS

Kimberly R. Smoak has been with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) since August 1995. She is the Bureau Chief of Field Operations located in the Division of Health Quality Assurance and is responsible for the oversight of field operations and the complaint administration unit. She is responsible for ensuring both federal and state survey work is completed timely, monitoring the quality improvement and quality assurance indicators for the division, training of survey staff and other agency staff, data management, and support functions. She is also the State Survey Agency Director for the State of Florida.

Smoak holds an M.S. in Health with an Aging Studies program emphasis. She is also a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional. In 2009 and 2017, she received the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Survey and Certification Achievement Awards for her work in survey and certification.
