Kimberly M. Gimenez MD

Dr. Kimberly Gimenez’s teaching interests are incredibly varied. Dr. Gimenez loves all aspects of anesthesia, but her favorites are in cardiac anesthesia and regional anesthesia. Both specialties are very technical and have a combination of intellectual and hands on components. Performing blocks for regional anesthesia with both ultrasound and stimulation/landmark techniques is an exciting way to teach. In the heart room, performing TEE is a tool that provides excellent clinical information and endless opportunities for teaching. In addition to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, Dr. Gimenez is also an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor. She is well known in all these disciplines for exhibiting excellence in patient care and inspiring trainees to do the same.
