Kim Brazzell PhD, BS

Dr. Brazzell has served as Chief Medical Officer at Kala Pharmaceuticals since February 2013. He previously served as Chief Medical Officer of Mimetogen and held several executive positions at Inspire Pharmaceuticals, including Executive Vice President and Head of Ophthalmology Business, Executive Vice President of Medical and Scientific Affairs and Senior Vice President of Ophthalmic R&D.

Prior to joining Inspire, Dr. Brazzell served as Global Head of Clinical R&D and Senior Vice President, U.S. R&D, of Novartis Ophthalmics. Dr. Brazzell also served as Vice President of R&D at Ciba Vision Ophthalmics, Inc. and as Associate Director R&D at Alcon Laboratories, Inc. Dr. Brazzell received a BS in Pharmacy and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Kentucky.
